Adsorbed Natural Gas Products, Inc. (ANGP) is leading the industry in commercializing low-pressure on-board adsorbed natural gas (ANG) storage technology and is in business to design, develop, manufacture, sell and service ANG storage technology, and related products, for large-frame light-duty vehicles (SUVs; pick-up trucks; and vans). We have one main objective: to be the leading motor vehicle ANG technology company, providing products that are disruptive, enabling and manufactured to the highest standards of safety, performance and reliability. Our PHANGV® (plug-in hybrid adsorbed natural gas vehicle) concept opens the door for natural gas to be a major automotive fuel.
ANG technology is the use of a highly porous adsorbent material to densely store natural gas molecules at pressures of 900 psi and below (referred to by natural gas vehicle industry standards as “low pressure” relative to current “high pressure” storage of 2,400 psi to 3,600 psi, or compressed natural gas (CNG)). Under controlled depressurization, these molecules release and exit the storage system in response to the demand of the vehicle's engine. Activated carbon, due to its extremely high porosity and surface area, is an excellent, cost effective adsorbent for this application.

Our technology enables the use of a low cost, highly reliable private fueling. The combination of low pressure on-board storage and private fueling will redefine the hybrid bi-fuel (gasoline or natural gas) vehicle, by providing enough environmentally beneficial natural gas for daily operation on-board with the ability to economically and conveniently refuel privately at home - or at a business location - overnight. An ANGP storage system on a bi-fuel (gasoline or natural gas) ready vehicle transforms that vehicle into a plug-in hybrid adsorbed natural gas vehicle or a PHANGV®.

ANGP is proud to be the recipient of the 2018 World Gas Conference Innovation Award for Transportation Driven By Gas and the 2016 Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award for Gas Storage for Natural Gas Vehicles.

Frost & Sullivan industry analyst, Arpita Mukherjee is quoted, “Frost & Sullivan firmly believes that the on-board, low-pressure adsorbed natural gas (ANG) storage system developed by ANGP and its technology partners is an innovative, game-changing solution in the light duty vehicles’ (LDVs) fueling market. The significant economic benefits of ANGP’s low pressure natural gas storage system will certainly boost the global natural gas (NG) vehicles market while also strengthening the North American NG export industry.“
